Come Horse Around With Us!
We offer year-round opportunities for all clients. The facility sits on 12 acres just north of Montrose, CO, with 5 pastures, 12 runs, and lots of parking. Included are an Indoor Coverall Arena (70'x120'), Outdoor Arena (120'x220'), and a 70' Round Pen. We also provide a mounting ramp/station for individuals who are unable to mount the horse from the ground.
Focusing on Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies, we specialize in assisting individuals with physical, cognitive, emotional needs to reach new levels of accomplishment. This can be through therapeutic/adaptive riding and/or equine assisted learning programs. This horse-human interaction helps develop physical abilities and further their cognitive and emotional skills.
A fun program is our Wheel-Along Horsemanship program offered to individuals utilizing wheelchairs for "getting around".
Standard riding and horsemanship lessons are available for both adults and children as well.
We also offer programs for adults who want to learn to reset their thinking and clarify values to achieve a balance and peace in their lives through an interactive learning activity. These programs may be team-building and/or personal development focused.
Overall, with a focus on Horsemanship and safety, our clients learn new things about themselves while developing skills to enhance their lives. Our services are offered in several formats: custom designed for each client as a series of 4 lessons, which may be renewed for furthering their progress; one day retreats; and a 6 or 12 week (unmounted) focused lesson series.
We also offer Full-day and Half-day Immersion programs and a 6 week specialized learning series for Organizations who serve the Special Needs population.
As a full service facility, we also provide short-term, winter, and year round horse boarding, as well as a barn membership for trailering in horses to use our indoor, outdoor arenas and round pen.
