Standard Alchemy Jazz is a live cocktail jazz group based in Montrose, Colorado, playing weddings, private parties, corporate events, wineries, restaurants and wine bars across the Western Slope, including Montrose, Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, Delta and Grand Junction.
The sound: swing, Rat Pack, bossa nova, cocktail jazz and the Great American Songbook. It's music that fills a room without taking it over, and it works for ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinner sets and receptions.
Sized to your event: jazz duo, jazz trio or jazz quartet, performing instrumentally or with male and/or female vocals.
The musicians:
• Zan D. Waller, trumpet: founder and bandleader, with more than 20 years as a musician in U.S. Army and Navy bands.
• Stefan Davenport, guitar and vocals: magna cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, with decades in jazz, R&B, funk and club-date bands.
